Marcus is an active tournament player with 8 years of competitive chess experience and a strong practical understanding of the game. His achievements include 1st place in the Sydney International Open 2026 Challengers and 2nd place in the NSW Australia Day Weekender 2024. He has also competed in events such as the Hong Kong International Open and various NSW state-wide tournaments. As a coach, Marcus is passionate about helping students improve through both game analysis and deeper understanding of their thought processes during play.
